Located at Bird Creek – Bird Valley Trailhead, just 22 miles south of Anchorage and 13 miles north of Girdwood, this adventure takes you deep into forested backcountry along historic logging roads. The trail system stretches approximately 15 miles along Bird and Penguin Creeks, offering a true Alaskan riding experience.

Trail Experience:
These multi-use state park trails are managed for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and motorized use. Riders can expect:

The area is open to ATVs and UTVs up to 56 inches wide beginning April 1st. Due to the shared-use nature of the trail system, a general 20 MPH speed limit is enforced.
