My mother and I went on an AMAZING snowmobiling adventure in March of 2016! Alaska Backcountry Access has top of the line snowmobiles, snow gear, and people! The day before it snowed a bunch so we had fresh powder and we were out on the trail for a little over 5 hours. The owner (Andy) was very patient (we tipped over quite a few times!) and truly led us on an adventure to the Nelchina Glacier. We made frequent stops along the trail to snack, take pictures, and stretch out your legs. The view was breath-taking and the experience went from riding in the trees, to open meadows, to deep powder around the Nelchina Glacier! Andy even let us venture around in the meadows by ourselves and try riding in some VERY deep snow...it was a GREAT experience!! Highly recommend!!
